Тип урока: Урок комплексного применения знаний и способов деятельности.

Цель урока:

Задачи:

Методы:

  1. Метод стимулирования мотивации учебной деятельности (метод эмоционального стимулирования: занимательность, создание ситуации новизны, обращение к личному опыту учащихся);
  2. Метод организации и осуществления учебной деятельности: словесный метод (беседа, инструктаж), наглядные методы (демонстрация медиа – проекции);
  3. Методы, характеризующие мыслительные операции (индуктивный, дедуктивный, анализ, сравнение).

Принципы:

  1. Принцип развивающего и воспитывающего обучения;
  2. Принцип наглядности
  3. Принцип связи теории с практикой
  4. Принципы системности и последовательности
  5. Принцип природосообразности и культуросообразности воспитания.

Y You know, I’m very happy to live in such interesting place like the Kola Peninsula. There are so many places to visit and to watch here. Do you agree with me? Can you remember any interesting places?

A OK, if you don’t know what to see here, I shall tell you today! These places are not only interesting, they are real wonders! That’s why I want you to know more about our local wonders and I hope to encourage you to learn more on your own after our lesson.( (См. слайд №1)T

OK. Here, on the Kola Peninsula, we have wonders of different types. And the first one is:
1 The Kola Super Deep. (См. слайд №4)
S Students have the papers on their desks. The text is done in the RSE format with gaps for the words to be put in the correct form. Students work in pairs. Then they make notes in order to retell the text in short. (См. Приложение №1, №6)
So, first of all – read the text and do the task on Use of English.
T Then we’ll check the answers up. Then make notes (use application №6). And at last, be ready to give a summary of the text.
T Then one student (who wants) gives a summary.
What type of wonder does it belong to? (tourist travel wonder, wonder of engineering)

R Regrettably, we have very little time to have a detailed information about all the wonders. That’s why now we only watch them.
T The only thing I want you to do is to give your association (adjectives) in one word with the place you’ll see that will come into your mind. (some of them are on the blackboard as hints) (См. слайд №5-17)

2 Now it’s time to work in groups (two groups). Each group has two texts. There are four of them: Kuyva, The Assumption Church, Lake Mogilnoe, Petroglyphs. (The teacher gives two different texts to every group). (См. Приложения №2,3,4,5,6).You should read them and give a summary for another group, which has got other texts. Listen to the information attentively: you’ll have to give associations (adjectives) with the place.

A After that all together they give one-word association.

What wonders do you want to watch with your own eyes?
Let’s imagine the situation that your pen – friend is coming to you. Choose the place to visit. You can discuss any of the places mentioned, but it would be better if you choose only three of them.

– be active in the conversation
– agree/ disagree with your partner

– come to an agreement
You’ve got 2 minutes to prepare and 2 minutes to act out. Don’t forget to use the adjectives (For ex., amusing, striking, weird, frightful, splendid etc. that they have been using during the lesson to give associations with the points).
